Ben Harper Asbury Park Concert reviews
NFG was better than i could have ever asked for
An awesome intro kicked off the night with fireworks, which were much better than their recorded tracks can portray. I was a little irritated that they didn't stop in between songs because even though they all blurred together. A great band, Hellogoodbye, but I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped for their live music. Good, but not great, though they did "Here (in Your Arms)" to the t. Sounded exactly like a recording, even with the synthesisers and such. Saves the Day, an awesome band with great instrumentals, but I couldn't ever appreciate the vocals because they were turned way down. I felt like I only heard 15% of the lyrics (and I was front and center). Ben Harper, I can't express all my feelings for this segment of the concert, it was incredible. I actually bought the tickets for Hellogoodbye, but man, I was uninformed. NFG played every song well and put on an amazing and entertaining show for the crowd. They are big fan pleasers and constantly threw picks and such. The lead singer (sorry, I don't know names) made his way to the fans and actually played for them, not for money. A good fakeout and props/background change midway.
